Letter from Todd Harris: Support Joe Gallagher for Lynnfield Select Board

To the Editor:

I am writing to express my strong support for Joe Gallagher in his pursuit of a position on the Lynnfield Select Board.

Since moving to Lynnfield in 2014, it has been my great fortune to live across the street from Joe and his lovely family. He has been a model neighbor. Unfailingly caring, kind, considerate, and always willing to help in any way. In my many conversations with Joe over the years, I have found him to have a well-developed moral compass, an open mind to a wide range of viewpoints, and a moderate temperament that seeks balanced, “win-win” solutions.

Joe cares deeply about his community, as evidenced by the many local organizations that he has given significant time to, and he would bring a spirit of collaboration and consensus to the Select Board.

As I considered Joe’s personal and professional background, one other factor emerged that I think bears mentioning. He is experienced enough that he has developed deep expertise in key areas such as budgeting, finance, communications, and project management. But Joe is also young enough to be well-versed in the issues that will define the years ahead, most notably technology, education, and prudent management of Lynnfield’s financial resources.

Given his background, Joe is uniquely suited to preserve the elements that have always made Lynnfield a wonderful place to live, while ensuring that we are ready for the future.

It will be my pleasure to vote for him on April 14th.
